The Journal of Bionanotechnocracy: Countdown to 2030 was originally created as an independent publication space for work that sits outside conventional institutional pathways.
In practice, it has become a personal journal and publication record for my own research, essays, observations, and developing framework. This has occurred largely for practical reasons. Establishing and maintaining a broader journal requires editorial infrastructure, submission management, review processes, and sustained administrative support. At present, the priority is to consolidate the NixonLab archive and make the existing body of work easier to access.
The “Countdown to 2030” framing reflects an ongoing concern that the space for independent inquiry, open publication, and public scientific debate may narrow as institutional, technological, and regulatory systems become more tightly integrated.
The journal is therefore currently on hold as a wider publication project. Earlier issues remain available here as part of the public record.
